Neurologist update
The neurologist I met before (Dr. French) came back in, this time with Dr. DeWitt. She's the one who really knows what's what, I guess. Dad was much more awake and alert this time. Dr. DeWitt said she's very happy that he got rid of the breathing tube and that he can swallow well enough to avoid the feeding tube. She said everything is as good as could be hoped at this point. She said for the first few days, we just really have to wait for the swelling to go down and then we can expect improvement, especially with therapy, obviously. She was very encouraging. Dad is resting now, quite worn out after all the visitors.
